They are working on a BBQ smoker with automated pallet firing as part of a project in the field of mechanical engineering or production and automation technology. The project group, which is headed by Prof. Wagner and Ms. Niedermeier, has been supported by GEFASOFT for several semesters now in the implementation of the project task - including this summer semester.
In order to get a more accurate picture of their supporter, the students were first given a company presentation about GEFASOFT. They were given an insight into the company's history and fields of activity, as well as one or two case studies from day-to-day work at GEFASOFT.
Afterwards, the students gave a brief update on the status of their BBQ Smoker project - only the documentation is still required. As usual, the visit was rounded off with a tour of the assembly hall in our main building. There, the students took the opportunity to take a closer look at some of GEFASOFT's systems and ask any questions they had.
At the end of the interesting exchange, there was a convivial get-together with pretzels and drinks. The two business unit managers - representing GEFASOFT - are already looking forward to further cooperation and the final barbecue with the project group at the OTH.
