In the current difficult economic situation, the previously planned company succession does not seem to be working. For the two managing directors Harald Grünbauer and Michael Würsching, this is a logical step to better position "their company" in the future and get it safely through the current difficult times. Step by step, they will withdraw from active management of the company. This will ensure continuity and at the same time bring about change.
"For me, GEFASOFT is one of the best companies that combines three important technologies: automation, laser technology and vision," says the 45-year-old from the Upper Palatinate.
In his previous role as Managing Director, he put Starkstrom Gerätebau GmbH on a new, solid footing. The company has over 800 employees in Regensburg and is part of the SGB-SMIT Group with 15 locations worldwide and over 3,500 employees. The 45-year-old laid the foundations with an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic at Siemens AG in Regensburg. This was followed by further training as a state-certified technician specializing in mechanical engineering and finally a distance learning course in technical business administration (IHK). The father of four lives in Wenzenbach (Regensburg district) and is looking forward to his new role.
GEFASOFT has its company headquarters at the Tech-Campus in Regensburg. In addition to a branch in Nittendorf, the GEFASOFT Group also has subsidiaries in Mexico and Hungary, as well as service centers in Malaysia, Brazil and China. We have made a name for ourselves worldwide with our own developments and patents. For example, absolute precision is required when a so-called head-up display (HUD) is installed in cars. GEFASOFT has developed a flexible and reliable image processing system for this purpose. It is used to check and adjust the fully assembled HUD.
