We can look back on a successful AKL'24 in Aachen.

For the 14th time, laser manufacturers and laser users from various industries met at the biennial AKL - International Laser Technology Congress. With around 85 speakers and 50 companies at the exhibition accompanying the conference, the AKL has established itself as the leading forum for applied laser technology in production in Europe.

At the GEFASOFT stand, the patented A2A® (Absorbent to Absorbent) joining process was presented in particular. This joining process with two laser-absorbing joining partners has numerous advantages over the conventional laser transmission welding process. With this process, assemblies can be welded without transparent joining partners and there are also greater degrees of freedom with regard to component design (keyword e.g. laser shadowing).

Overall, many trade visitors visited our stand and exchanged ideas with us about this special plastic welding process. Networking with suppliers at the congress was also very beneficial for us.

We are already looking forward to the next AKL!
